We are a pet brand that offers fashionable and functional products that you and your pup will love.

About ALP: 

We are a family owned and operated business. We specialize in martingale dog collars but also carry other types of collars, leashes, and a few other pup accessories. Inspiration for this company came from our first dog, Hazey. She was a greyhound. 

​

Greyhounds need either a harness or a martingale collar when on leash because their heads are smaller than their necks, which causes regular collars to slip off. This is dangerous for the dog, especially greyhounds who take off (very quickly) when they see small animals. We used martingale collars because Hazey was afraid of a harness. Martingale collars can be difficult to find other than basic solid collars. Our goal is to make these collars more accessible to everyone and to create products that we love.

Unfortunately, Hazey passed away in March 2019 due to osteosarcoma, a common bone cancer in greyhounds. So, now this brand is in memory of her. We currently have a Great Dane named Caspian and a German Shepherd named Bear. We use martingale collars with them when on leash to help reduce pulling and give us more control. They both wear "regular" collars when off leash.
